As a child, Dean spent countless hours in the garden on imaginary expeditions hunting dinosaurs. As an adult, he still does. Only now he gets more bewildered looks from the neighbours.

Being an animator is a perfect job for anyone who ever wanted to see a T-Rex stomping down the street, so getting a Degree in Animation from the National Film School of Ireland was an obvious first step. Why he then got an Honours Degree in Set Design for Film is more of a mystery.

Dean is currently working in New Zealand for Weta Digital, 3D Modelling vintage aircraft for Peter Jackson's Wingnut Wings project. He spends his days arguing over the spacing of rivets, but still finds time to draw the occasional dinosaur.
